Dating back to the beginning of the 1900s this cosy boarding house lies in the heart of the Valdres area between Oslo and Bergen at a height of 400 metres. The guest room with wood stove and open fireplace is available to all guests. A large tranquil garden surrounds Furulund Pensjonat, which is perfect for balmy summer evenings. Valdres is well known for excellent cross-country skiing. The trails run over the mountains and through the forests. Valdres is a wonderful mountainous area with heights of up to 2000 metres. Outdoor recreational activities are endless throughout the picturesque valleys and dramatic mountain ranges. Try fishing in one of the 65 lakes and rivers of Valdres for both trout and perch. Opposite Furulund Pensjonat, Strandafjorden is a wonderful place for a swim in the bay or use the hotels row boat. Other facilities include table-tennis, badminton and football.
